Ice fished Scugog evening with many club members. First fish out of the hole by our friend was this biggie. Then they became smaller and smaller. 4 inches of ice. Over 100 anglers on ice but scattered apart.

Ice Well Keeps Your Catch Alive and Fresh
That crappie in the photo looks frozen rock solid. If you want to keep your catch alive and fresh, consider getting an Ice Well. It is easier to clean your fish if it isn't frozen or slimy. The only problem I can see with using an ice well is in case a pike or muskie swims by and decides to dine on your catch.
