I hear the best way to set up the shelter is to start with fixing the first ice anchor, then tie it to the opposite corner of the entrance before popping up the shelter...this way you can cut down the wind effect while setting up....of course fishing hole(s) should also be pre-drilled as well, with preferred distance from that first ice anchor
I think if you have gas auger it is better to pre-drill the hole rather than smell the gas perfume in the shelter. Hand auger should not be matter. The shelter is high enough to let you use the auger.

I bought it from Richmond Hill Costco at Leslie and Elgin Mills, it weights 23 lb. Quickfish III is the only shelter in the Costco.
I set it up by myself in the basement, it took less than 1 minute.

But I don't have the first hand info on ice yet
