As the ice fishing season is coming to a close, this is a reminder that fishing on Lake Simcoe (Zone 16) for Lake Trout and Whitefish ends on March 15th, 2009. This is also the last day all permanent ice huts on Lake Simcoe can be on the ice. The lake trout and whitefish season on Lake Simcoe re-opens on the 2nd Saturday in May (9th, 2009) and closes September 30th, 2009.
