Canadian Compliance Plates and Boat Licences

The number of persons that can be carried safely depends on the type of boat, distribution of passengers and equipment carried.

Every boat built in, sold in or brought into Canada, must bear a Standards Decal indicating that the boat meets Canadian Government Construction Standards, called a Conformity Plate.

Boats not over 6.0 m long, and powered by an outboard engine of 7.5 kW (10 hp) or more, must also have a Capacity Plate permanently attached in plain view. The capacity plate states the recommended safe limits of engine power, which is the recommended gross load capacity that can be safely carried in the hull. Gross load capacity is defined as; the total weight of equipment, stores, fuel, motor assembly, steering controls, and equivalent number of adult persons. .........

不知道对不对，我的理解 “hull identification no."和“compliance plate no." 是跟着船来得。“hull identification no." ：船体上刻有的系列号码，如果船被盗，这个号码就比较有用。

“compliance plate" : 一般记载着可以乘坐多少人,载重等的一块铁皮板。　

“compliance plate no."那块铁皮板的号码。

这两个号码有一定的用处，如果你能找出来填上，那是最好的。找不出来，我想警察不会找你的麻烦。

我想你还缺trailer 的license plate。那个拖船的架子也需要过同样的手续。最后不要忘记买保险。警察不会查你的保险，但是他们会查你船上的安全装备有没有达标。看看这个：（第二页是中文）

卖船的人丢了（who knows.不过他强调他交过gst) boat licence（一张纸）。他必须填写一张"declaration of oaths"(可以download).然后当着有资格的人面前，说明信息都是正确的真实的。然后再签上自己的名字。然后这个有资格的人签下自己的名字。有资格的人包括律师，公证员，法官（justice of peace)和commissioner(不知如何翻译）。有的移民顾问就有这个资格。去office办的话大约收25元。上门就贵了。（我恰好有个朋友干这个 ）

第二个文件是填一张申请表(可以download).。自己就可以，不需别人签字。第三个是bill of sale。手写的或自己打印的收据。卖主要签字。上面要说明卖给谁，多少钱以及船的信息。然后去任何一个service canada office。交上买主的信息（姓名地址等，交个驾照就行）。等上两个小时（我去的屎嘎波 烫，真xx的慢！）

然后当场打印出一张新的licence ownership.bill of sale和declaration of oaths都还给你。没见她往计算机里添任何东西。但一定要有，否则不办。我看电脑根本没搜索出过去的信息。给了licence号码后，她一按search，直接就出现了添新owner信息的窗口。
