Hitted the big lake with a buddy today....fished the 83FOW ground

Lots of fish only not in their feeding mode, not interested in taking metals to say the least........moved once and hard work paid off with getting our limits before noon..

The rain didnt turn up as forecasted, but the wind really picked up big time while we were packing it in....all in all, a very nice day of fishing was had

Buddy was having fun landing his first Whitie of the season, a 6 lb'er..

Humminbird ICE 45 Flasher

Shmartangler, it looks like you guys had a very productive day fishing for whiteys.

Can you comment on your friend's choice of flasher, the Humminbird ICE 45? What are the pros and cons with this flasher versus the competition (Vexilar, Marcum, Lowrance)? I understand Humminbird is the new kid on the block when it comes to manufacturing ice fishing flashers. It was interesting reading the ads by Humminbird and Vexilar. The Humminbird ads claim that the Humminbird flashers are taking flashers out of the ice age. I guess that was in reference to Vexilar. The Vexilar ads tell the buyer that their Mother would suggest that they think before they buy. It seems to suggest why buy a flasher from Humminbird who is new to manufacturing flashers when Vexilar has been manufacturing flashers for over 40 years.
