陳秀美于2009年6月12日于Markham-Stouffville 醫院應癌症長逝。留下子女Desmond，Edna 和丈夫Michael.
陳秀美是漁樂會的創始人也是漁樂會的常任理事之一。從1999年至今生病后她在漁樂會中參加了無數次義工，其中包括由她主辦的Cape Cod釣魚旅遊，組織釣魚比賽，組織安省家庭釣魚日活動，以及幫助漁樂會拉贊助商等等。
陳秀美曾獲漁樂會最優秀釣魚人之獲。她一生熱愛釣魚。常常聖誕期間都會去Florida釣魚。除了釣魚之外她還喜歡仿真花的插花，种蘭花等。她還養有一條京巴狗叫Michael。
陳秀美是個成功的地產經紀人。她的成功不僅僅在與她給客戶看好地產，她經常給客戶在個人和健康等方面無微不至的照顧。她一生對她的工作和漁樂會的義工十分的投入。
陳秀美將被我們漁樂會會員永遠的記在心裏。請安息！

Not a friend of Cindy...but had a chance to say Hi to each other in one BOQ outing many yrs back....still remeber the Envoy she was in....we trolled side by side for for a few runs hunting for those late fall lunker eyes..

Deepest condolences
I've got a chance to meet Cindy a few times at our club meeting and tornament last year while she was helping out our club luncheon. My impression of her is outgoing with a happy attitude and willing to help others.
Cindy, you'll be greatly missed, rest in peace and may heaven be opening day every day.
