MillLake

The closest lake to the town of Parry Sound, Mill Lake offers many choices in recreation.

Connected to Georgian Bay by way of the Seguin River, Mill Lake is large and deep and brimming with fish of all sorts. Northern Pike, Pickerel, Bass, Trout and Crappie are some examples of the fish you might catch from its depths or along its 30 kilometres of shoreline.

From Mill Lake - Portage Lake, Mountain Basin and the Seguin River are all accessible. It is found off Highway 69 on Hall’s Marina Road, just east of Parry Sound.
 

OtterLake

Found 10 minutes south of Parry Sound, Otter Lake is clean and clear and fairly deep.

The sparkling waters and deciduous canopy of trees are as welcome a sight to the eyes as are the fish that abound in the lake. Yellow perch, rainbow smelt, lake trout, northern pike, black crappie, and largemouth and smallmouth bass are species of fish native to Otter Lake.

To find Otter Lake, take Oastler Park Drive, then either Blue Lake Rd. or James Bay Junction Road.

Situated on the shores of Oastler Lake just minutes south of Parry Sound, Oastler Lake Provincial Park is an ideal base camp for exploring what Parry Sound and District has to offer, or for the usual, fun-filled campground activities.

In fact, Oastler Lake Park’s clean, clear water, and long sandy beach are perfect for relaxing, swimming and fishing as rainbow trout, pike and bass all abound in the lake.

148 campsites are available, and there is easy access to drinking water, toilets and comfort stations. Benefit from the Park’s boat-launching ramp and dumping/filling station.
