*** NAVIGATION WARNING ***

The Avery Point Marker is an empty beer keg painted red with the words "Molson Ex" on the side and "Biker Beer" on the bottom.

Please be careful travelling past the tip of Avery Point in Lower (north section) Dalrymple Lake. There is very swallow water with lots of rocks. The Avery Point Marker has already been anchored out on the lake this spring until it is taken out at the end of the season. Please ensure that you travel on the outer edge of the marker i.e. Do not travel between the marker and the tip of Avery Point. Low water levels may require you to trim up your engine to prevent damage in the safe water zone.

Big rock off of Avery Point

The red Avery Point Marker is located far offshore from Avery Point (on left side in photo)

There is a navigation hazard near the bridge which divides Lower (north) and Upper Dalrymple (south) Lake. There may be rocks exposed or hidden in shallow water near the Osprey Lane Boat Launch. Boaters are advised to trim their prop when passing through here. Launch your boat at Osprey Lane Boat Launch at your own risk due to shallow water and rocks!
