美女和銀魚

美女釣銀魚時的complian:

I had an ignorant guy cutting off my friend’s line the day when we were there. There were no other boats in the whole place. Only our boat and his. We were there first and anchored and stationary. He was trolling with the big motor and went all over the place. At one point, he spotted a fish was caught in our boat, so he came so close to us. Actually it’s so dangerous. My friend casted out the line trying to tell him that it’s our territory. He cut his line.

The moral is actually similar to this:

More info.

Thx bass for the post. Actually after we told the guy that he cut off our line, he said that we should reel in the line. If he apologize, we won't be so pissed. We asked him why he trolled in our casting area while the whole neighbouring water was not occupied. Then he unwillingly said that he'll pay for the lure that my friend lost. He pissed us more. Money is not everything!!! What if that lure is no longer in production!?

Another thing about the boat launch at Jackson's Point. The launch fee $15 that Bonnie Boat charges doesn't cover the parking fee. Bonnie Boat doesn't own the parking lot but the City does. For parking over there, you have to purchase a parking ticket from the machine over at the beach. Daily max is $30.00.

It's nothing but a cash grab

It's nothing but a cash grab by the Town of Georgina. They have a monopoly on the parking availability and know most anglers come from the Toronto area. I am sure you know that it is impossible to pay for parking let alone get free parking near the shore fishing spots still available in the Town of Georgina. IMO, shore anglers are not welcome in the Town of Georgina.

For anglers who get too close to your boat and cut off your line, you should note the boat registration number and make/type of boat, description of anglers and report them with postings on all the fishing web sites for that area. Sometimes, it's an accident but more often than it simply carelessness and igorance.

I've had my share of anglers that pissed me off

I've had my share of anglers that pissed me off. One time I was fishing next to a bridge. This Chinese Cantonese woman comes down to my spot to fish. She stands within 1 metre of me and doesn't even say hi. She starts casting to my left, then in front of me, then she goes to my right within one metre once again casting in front of me and to my right. There was lots and lots of space for her to stand further away from me. During this time, all I did was watch and stare at her casting. She left to go back with her group within minutes. It takes a lot of nerve to do that an angler. If she does that a lot, one of these days she may get pushed into the water. These type of people have absolutely no fishing equiette and probably will never learn even if they read a newspaper article on fishing equiette in Sing Tao Newspaper!

I was out fishing in a boat for walleyes when this boat comes in at full speed and stops next to me within casting distance of my jerkbait. If the boat wake hasn't spooked the fish the boat engine noise certainly will have. The Chinese Cantonese anglers start fishing for panfish I assume since they were fishing with a float. They had the entire area to fish, but decided to fish right next to me. I sped off by running the engine as loud as I coud.

Last year scenerio

Another incident last year: we were fishing in a spot first. Then 2 other boats came and anchored real close to us. The 3 boats were lining up like Roman alphabet III. We were in the middle and we were fishing on one side of the boat. The boat opposite us had 4 people and we were casting towards each other. Not to mention that sometimes our lines were tied up.

Then all of a sudden, I found a line right beside my neck. I thought it's from one of the 2 anglers on our boat. But nobody claimed possession.

It was from the boat on the opposite side *(the one on our back). How the hell you expect to land a fish if you had a bite? Your fish had to travel all the way through our boat and back to you?!
